Classic Comfort in West Hartford

Saybrook Home at the HBRA Parade of Homes 2023

For this year's HBRA Parade of Homes, Saybrook Home was asked to fully furnish two of the homes on the tour - one in West Hartford and another in Glastonbury. Our team was thrilled to have the opportunity to stage two gorgeous, newly built homes. It was a great opportunity to showcase their skills as designers and the company's abilities to provide staging services for homeowners, real estate professionals and builders. 

Adam Calkins, interior designer and manager of Saybrook Home's Glastonbury Showroom took the lead on this West Hartford staging project. The home was built by T&M Builders and is part of the Gledhill Estates subdivision. 

Adam began his design in the great room where he had the task of deciding how to break up the massive square footage into smaller, more functional living spaces. He started by picking a gorgeous 11' x 14' Serapi area rug which really set the tone for the room. He divided the space with a large, sectional by Lee Furniture in a cream performance fabric. Two Fremont Swivel chairs in a stripe fabric perfectly complement the rug and are tied into the whole room with throw pillows on the sectional. At the rear of the room, two etageres are flanked by a pair of handsome leather armchairs. 

This traditional look is carried throughout the first floor with the furniture, while a variety of eye-catching accessories give it an updated look that almost leans transitional. In the dining room, a stately, American-made table with a dark finish pops against a palette of softer blues and greens in the rug, artwork and accessories.
