A living room refresh just in time for holiday house guests was a fun challenge for Senior Designer Cheryl Homan. With only a couple weeks to work with, Cheryl was able to pull together a look that was exactly what her client envisioned.
Having seen photos of Cheryl’s other contemporary designs, this Madison homeowner was looking to do a living room update with a more modern look. However, maintaining a cozy, welcoming feel to the space was a top priority for Cheryl’s client.
The design began with the fabric Cheryl picked for the sofa pillows. It was a contemporary geometric pattern, but in softer neutrals to keep the look more traditional. From there, Cheryl searched the inventory at Saybrook Home for the perfect sofa and chairs. The coffee table was a no-brainer, given the geometric lines to mirror the patterns in the pillow fabric.
Adding some simple, neutral artwork and the perfect seasonal accessories completed the entire look. The client was pleasantly surprised that Cheryl was able to perfectly bring to life the vision of her own personal style.
