Incorporating Existing Pieces

This project was a true collaboration between Senior Designer Teresa and the client, who wanted to pull in a few existing pieces, such as the husband's favorite leather chair. With a custom pillow, the chair now seamlessly integrates with the rest of the color story.

Embracing Nature

Beyond the wood tones and metal accents, the design features woven baskets, a rope cocktail table as well as hand-woven natural rattan on the back of the statement chairs in front of the fireplace. These elements, alongside the live plants, which the home owner loves and cares for, showcased a true appreciation for nature.

Inspiration from the Past

The client's antique heirloom typewriter was the inspiration for the room's entire design. Teresa wanted to carry that metal/ iron look throughout the room through the lamp shades, small decor pieces, and the legs of the drink table.  The sophistication of the black metal was a great contrast to the warm, honey wood tones in the room.
